Eugene Rachkovsky is a Ukrainian film producer. Graduated from the Odesa National Maritime University as a Master of Transport technologies and systems. Chief Commercial Officer and Producer at TABOR production company. Graduated from the Terrarium Producers Intensive workshop in 2020. Finished Terrarium Producers Intensive workshop in 2020. Produced short films Solitude by Yelizaveta Smith which was selected to Odesa IFF and Raindance and was nominated for Best Short Film at the Ukrainian Film Academy Awards and Black Dog by Mykyta Zarkh premiered at the Kortfilmfestival Leuven and was also screened at the Motovun Film Festival, Zagreb, Croatia, and in the competition program of the Molodist International Film Festival 2023. He is a graduate of the International Laboratory for documentary film producers EURODOC.
In 2023, he produced the documentary Ukraine:Nightlife in Resistance, directed by Maksym Nakonechnyi. The film was screened in London, Berlin, and Kyiv. He is currently working on several feature-length documentaries:
— Listening to the World, dir. by Yelizaveta Smith, which was presented at Cannes Docs 2022 as part of the Ukrainian Docs-in-Progress program and won the DAE (Documentary Association of Europe) award, as well as a pitch at Beldocs IDFF and the Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival Networking award,
— The documentary trilogy The Days I Would Like To Forget was selected for the following programs: Berlinale Talents — Talent Lab section — Doc Station in 2023, VdR-Industry 2023 — Visions du Réel (won the Visions sud est — VSEAward), IDFA Forum 2023 — Rough cut presentation (received a special mention),
— Silent Flood, dir. by Dmytro Sukholytkyi-Sobchuk, was selected for the Spotlighted Projects section of the Cannes Film Festival 2023.
