Zhanna films her everyday life in Radvanka, a Roma settlement, which is one of the oldest districts of the ukrainian city Uzhgorod. She is a Roma and mother who is waiting for her son from the war. The conditions in which she has to live are becoming increasingly difficult, and the construction of her own house has taken years.
Zhanna works as a street orderly. Every morning she leaves the Roma district called Radvanka and walks through the empty morning streets of the Ukrainian western city Uzhgorod. Zhanna takes her hand-held camera. Through her chronicle, we get to know the inhabitants of the Roma settlement, discover how Roma overcome the hardships of war. We see funerals, weddings, how someone was just born, and the next shot is music playing in the cemetery.
Zhanna has two sons. Her eldest son had been fighting in the Ukrainian army since 2014, but was forced to leave the service due to his health condition, and her younger son returned to the army after being wounded. Zhanna films her daily routine and reflects on life in Radvanka, the war in the country, and the fate of her sons.
