The Docudays NGO and the International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA are now accepting applications for the VIII Electronic Catalogue of Ukrainian Documentary Films, which presents Ukrainian documentary films and film projects, production companies, studios, film festivals, distributors and curators of non-fiction films.
The updated electronic catalogue will be published online at docudays.ua. As before, Docudays UA will work on promoting Ukrainian documentaries and introducing them to colleagues at international film festivals, and disseminating information among festival partners and film professionals.
The VIII Electronic Catalogue of Ukrainian Documentary will be published in June 2025. It will include films and film projects released in 2024–2026, as well as works in development and production. The catalogue will also contain information about independent production companies, producers, film and television studios involved in documentary film production, post-production studios, film festivals, distributors and curators of non-fiction films in Ukraine.
Applications for the VIII Electronic Catalogue are accepted until 28 February 2025.
ENTRY FORM FOR FILMS/FILM PROJECTS
ENTRY FORM FOR ORGANISATIONS AND CURATORS
What kind of films and projects are we looking for?
The catalogue will include creative documentary films and projects. We are interested in works in which the authors are creative with the form and don’t hesitate to experiment, but which are also understandable to the audience and have an important social message. We do not place any restrictions on the length of the films and include both short and feature-length works in the catalogue.
What kind of organisations and curators are we looking for?
Production companies, distribution companies, film festivals and other institutions that work with creative documentaries in Ukraine. We also aim to include in the catalogue information about Ukrainian film curators who have expertise in creative documentaries and experience in (pre)selection, programming or organising events featuring Ukrainian non-fiction films in Ukraine and/or abroad.
The selection results will be announced by email to the applicants’ addresses no later than 12 March 2025.
