Meet the jury of RIGHTS NOW!-2024

Pavlo Klimkin, Natalia Panchenko, and Wayne Jordash KC will present this year's RIGHTS NOW! award, which is a prize for documentary films that explore and analyse the contemporary world and make a significant contribution to the discussion about human dignity, freedom, and equality. Up to ten films from all Docudays UA film cinema programmes will be nominated for the award.

Pavlo Klimkin

Born on 25 December 1967. In 1993, he began working for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the fields of disarmament, weapons control, and non-proliferation. He has worked at Ukrainian embassies in Germany and the UK, including as the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany in 2012–2014. He was the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations regarding the Ukraine–EU Association Agreement. From 2014 to 2019, Klimkin served as the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs. At the moment, he works as a senior researcher at the Carnegie Foundation and a member of the supervisory boards of the Come Back Alive and Renaissance Foundations.


Natalia Panchenko

Documentary producer, social activist, human rights defender, and one of the leaders of the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland. Head of the Stand with Ukraine Foundation board, leader of the " Euromaidan-Warszawa " social initiative." The producer of the "Chernobyl VR project" and "Ukraїner." Currently working on a full-length documentary series about Ukraine titled "Ukraїner" for the Polish TV channel TVP Document. 


After russian invasion in Ukraine, she organized anti-war demonstrations and humanitarian aid for Ukraine. She helps victims of the war in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees in Poland. She also organizes information and advocacy campaigns to support Ukraine by European countries and the USA.


Wayne Jordash KC

Director of Global Rights Compliance Foundation (GRC) is a renowned lawyer specializing in international human rights and humanitarian law. GRC has been actively involved in Ukraine since 2015, focusing on holding Russian forces accountable for atrocity crimes. In 2022, as Russia's invasion intensified, GRC established Mobile Justice Teams (MJTs) led by Wayne Jordash to aid Ukrainian investigators and prosecutors in conflict-affected areas. Wayne's expertise extends to advising governments, organizations, corporations, and communities on human rights compliance, risk management, and pursuing justice within the international legal framework.
