This is a tribute to the volunteers and an attempt to touch upon a huge layer in the history of Ukraine — the phenomenon of Ukrainian volunteerism.
This is a documentation of life stories and acts of solidarity that will be presented at the Zhovten Cinema based on video materials from the Ukraine War Archive, as well as video and audio recordings by the artist Volodymyr Kuznetsov.
The project recreates the moments of volunteerism and social mutual support which testify to the tireless work of volunteers during the war.
The video uses the vertical format of social media, which is an important informational and communication tool of our time.
It is a reminder of the importance of joint action and mutual support during military conflicts and crises.
It has been created in collaboration with the composer Maryana Klochko.
Ukrainians who have volunteered for this war, Borsch for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Union of Participants, Veterans, and Disabled of the ATO and Military Actions, volunteers from Kyiv region, the Rzhyshchiv community, dozens and hundreds of known and unknown heroes on the home front.

Volodymyr Kuznetsov was born in Lutsk, and now lives and works in Kyiv.
He has participated in solo & group exhibitions as well as residency programmes in Ukraine and abroad.
In his work he explores the aesthetics of everyday practices, as well as the presence of the archaic in the present.
He considers memory as a type of experience, and generates new concepts through personal and collective knowledge.
He is a co-founder of the R.E.P. group and a participant in self-organised initiatives and assemblies of the Maidan and post-Maidan.
