Sound is one of the most important elements of the narrative world in documentary cinema, which influences the perception of the story. At this creative meeting, we will touch upon various aspects of working on sound in a film. We will begin with how to effectively establish a workflow in a team, on set and in post-production. Then we will conclude with a discussion of experimental sound design techniques.

Speaker: Vasyl Yavtushenko
Vasyl Yavtushenko is a sound engineer and a co-founder of 4Ears Sound Production. He won the Golden Dzyga Award for the best sound in the Butterfly Vision. Born in Kharkiv, he works with fiction and documentary films. His other works include A Poem About Little People, dir. Ivan Sautkin, Butterfly Vision (2022) dir.
