The profession of film curators cannot be found in either Ukrainian universities or in official occupation categories for independent contractors. People of this profession have the lowest profile in the Ukrainian cultural process, even though they are the ones who shape film festival programmes and promote our films abroad. What is this mystical field and what stereotypes do film curators encounter in their work? Why is a critical perspective mandatory, and how does one grow up harmoniously as you watch films? All of this will be discussed by representatives of this profession.

Yulia Kovalenko, film researcher, film critic and programme director of the Docudays UA film festival;

Olha Birzul, film curator, cultural manager, author of young-adult nonfiction Your Book About Cinema.
