The DOCU/HELP support initiative in partnership with the charity foundation Soloma Cats invites Ukrainian documentary filmmakers to attend the All Service Members tactical medicine course.
The course is based on the full MARCH protocol approved by the TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care).
The course is about 9 hours long.
Location and date: Kyiv, 18 September, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
You will learn how to:
— examine survivors and prioritise injuries;
— identify and stop critical bleeding;
— apply tourniquets;
— tampon wounds;
— assess airway patency;
— ensure airway patency with a nasopharyngeal tube;
— work with occlusive stickers;
— make pressure and fixation bandages;
— transport the injured, prepare them for evacuation.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, the number of spots in the group is limited. We will prioritise documentary filmmakers who work in areas close to the frontline. Register to participate at this link until 00:00 on 15 September.

Soloma Cats is a charity foundation which helps defenders, rescue workers, and civilians. It focuses on tactical medicine and demining. By now, they have trained over 10,000 service members in tactical medicine. They create projects which bring Ukraine’s victory closer. These include the Tactical Cats mobile training centre. The foundation has launched a Spilnokosht fundraiser to purchase equipment and train even more service members and civilians.
DOCU/HELP is a support initiative by NGO Docudays and the team of the Docudays UA festival for Ukrainian filmmakers which aims to tell the world about Russia’s crimes in Ukraine, support those who document them, and continue introducing the world to contemporary Ukrainian culture.
