The call for applications for the Ukrainian Doc Preview, a presentation of Ukrainian feature-length documentary projects at the stage of production/post-production, is open until 13 February. This year, the event has traditionally become possible thanks to cooperation between the Ukrainian Institute and Docudays UA. The showcase was also supported by the independent television and digital network Current Time, Documentary Association of Europe (DAE), and KINO42.
Ukrainian Doc Preview is an opportunity to get feedback on the international potential of your film and build a network of useful contacts of the global film industry representatives. Aside from that, during the presentation, participants of Ukrainian Doc Preview will compete for a prize of $2000 from Current Time.
Also, the winners of the Ukrainian Doc Preview will have the opportunity to receive other awards. The Documentary Association of Europe (DAE, Germany) will award one of the projects (a director and a producer) an opportunity to become a one-year member of the Association and to receive consultations from one of the DAE directors, a member of the advisory boards of B2B Doc and DMZ Docs, Brigid O’Shea.
Another prize is a screening of a rough cut of a film at independent chamber cinema in Podil in Kyiv KINO42.
