Filip, a young man born in Belgrade and raised in Barcelona, embarks on a journey visiting places in search of his roots. He begins by wondering where his father's ashes should be. In this search for answers, Filip meets Asha, an Ethiopian girl with a tragic past. Together they will go to remote places in search of the origin of Filip's family. Chasing the past, Filip and Asha find themselves in soap-opera situations.

Filip Martinović
Filip Martinović graduated as a Master in film and TV direction in the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. His debut film as a director and producer, Telenovela: Grey-scale in Color has received awards in ‘work in progress’ segments at festivals such as Beldocs in Belgrade, winning an award for sound postproduction, a Silver Eye nomination 2019 from the Institute of Documentary Film, and Le Film Français award in Locarno Film Festival in 2019 in the ‘First look at Serbian film’ section. He is the founder of the Gulu Gulu Presenta production house. He is currently producing the film Ashen, directed by Aleksandar Kostić and supported by The Film Center Serbia, and coproducing the Spanish-Serbian-Norwegian coproduction Oh Dear Sara by Patricia Franquesa.
