Do all adults in Ukraine know that children have rights, and that they have to be respected? Meanwhile, the main document that guarantees children their rights – the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child – has been ratified by almost every country in the world, including Ukraine. So what are the rights of the child? When do they appear? How can I use them? And who can help children defend their rights?
We will split this training into two parts. First, we’ll talk about children’s rights in simple language. The ‘Goose’ online meme will help with this. In the second part of the training, you will learn about the rights and responsibilities of the participants in the educational process.
Speakers:
Aksana Filippishyna, Children’s and Family Rights Representative of the Ukrainian Ombudsman;
Oleksandr Voytenko, social pedagogue, psychologist, coordinator of the NGO “Father's House”;
Moderator: Natalya Malynovska, journalist.
