DOCU/CLASS is an ongoing Docudays UA programme which includes public talks, discussions, lectures, workshops by documentary filmmakers, as well as presentations of various film-related initiatives. The events of this section create a free space where artists, industrial and cultural managers share their experiences with colleagues and audience who are eager to learn more about the filmmaking process and festivals backstage, current trends in the international film market and opportunities for visual art to respond to the challenges of contemporary Ukrainian and world realities.
This year, the DOCU/CLASS programme includes creative talks with filmmakers and festival programmers, a project presentation on how to overcome social polarization through visual storytelling, panel discussions with representatives of film industry market on film distribution strategies in the international market and co-production practices with television, Non-Fiction Cinema Guild of Ukraine presentation, as well as an open briefing with the filmmakers participating in the DOCU/UKRAINE national competition and the Kyiv Critics Week curators.
