Established as a new initiative to help bridge the gap between digital platforms and filmmakers of documentary shorts, the Forum will guide and mentor this talented group of filmmakers as they take the next steps in their careers.
In line with One World Media's goal to support international filmmakers to tell underreported stories, the Forum are supporting talent from all around the world: from Colombia to China, Nigeria to Ukraine.
This year the Global Short Docs Forum will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine in partnership with Docudays UA from 26 - 29 March 2019. Over the course of a 4-day residential workshop, these selected filmmakers will be given the chance to learn from industry experts, build an invaluable global network of like-minded peers, and ultimately pitch their selected projects to commissioners from digital platforms.
