Alexandra Ramires (Xá) was born in 1987; in 2010 she received the Santander Totta scholarship of merit that allowed him to complete the final semester of the painting course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, graduating from the Fine Arts faculty at the University of Lisbon. She started to work in animation in 2009 at the Sardinha em Lata studios on the animation shorts Journey to Cape Verde directed by José Miguel Ribeiro; The Shoemaker by David Doutel and Vasco Sá and Independent Mind by Marta Monteiro. Since 2013 she has been working at Bando à Parte studios where she collaborated on the films Soot by David Doutel and Vasco Sá and End of Line by Paulo D’Alva. Drop by Drop is her first short animated film co-directed together with Laura Gonçalves.

Laura Gonçalves graduated from the animation course at the Fine Arts Faculty in Lisbon in 2009; she has worked for Sardinha Em Lata Studio as an animator and final artist on Journey to Cape Verde, directed by José Miguel Ribeiro; The Shoemaker by David Doutel and Vasco Sá and Independent Mind by Marta Monteiro. She also worked on Who's This Hat by Joana Toste, Gomtch Gomtch; and M by Joana Bartolomeu (Bando à Parte). In 2012 she completed an MA degree in animation at the Arts University College of Bournemouth, where she directed her first animation short Three Weeks in December.
