Children of Congo, Listen! documents the struggles of Mr. Jean-Lucien Bussa, an idealistic member of the National Assembly, who routinely confronts his own conflicting incentives of service to others and service to his own needs. When does patronage end and corruption begin?

Natacha Ikoli is a Brooklyn based multidisciplinary artist who primarily works as a video colorist. Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Natacha and her family immigrated to France when she was only five years old. She studied Cinema and Performing Arts in Paris before continuing her education in London where she earned a BA in Media and Film Production. Gender identity, social ascension and cinéma vérité have inspired her work as a filmmaker and video artist.

Patrick Flynn was born in Rochester, NY, Patrick holds a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Hamilton College. He has been editing for film and television professionally since 1999 creating documentaries for Viceland, Disney, The Great Big Story, PBS, VH1, ABC, BBC, CNN, FOX, ESPN, The New York Times, etc. Films have screened at Outfest, the Berlin Film Festival and the Disorient Asian American Film Festival. Children of Congo, Listen! is his directorial debut.
