On the anniversary of honoring the memory of the victims of shelling in Mariupol, director Yulia Hontaruk will publish her film Ten Seconds, which will be made available to watch online free of charge. From January 24 on, the film will be accessible at the BABYLON’13 YouTube channel and at our online cinema DOCU/SPACE.
The film Ten Seconds is based on the events after January 24, 2015 (the shelling of the Eastern residential neighborhood in Mariupol). This is a story about how quickly your life can change and about how, even after the irremediable happens, there are things which remain unchanged.
Yulia Hontaruk’s film received the Andriy Matrosov Prize from the festival team at the Docudays UA festival in March 2016. The prize was awarded for masterful depiction of all-encompassing despair and unconquerable optimism which existed side by side within the same people at the moment of the tragic shelling of Mariupol.
