Jonny von Wallström is a Swedish cinematographer turned director. He was born in Sandviken, a small industrial city in the middle of Sweden. Now he’s based outside Stockholm, where he has established himself as an international filmmaker. He made his debut with the TV film Zero Silence, which was an Official Selection at Sheffield Doc/Fest in 2011. He’s known for a definite style of merging raw realism with beautiful cinematic visuals. His work has been shown by broadcasters such as Arte, SVT, Al Jazeera, TV6, MTV and ZTV.
