Exclusive documentary premieres, discussions with experts, and workshops from the stars of world documentaries – Docudays UA is preparing for you seven days of unique events and screenings. One of them is the morning coffee, during which you will have a chance to talk to all the directors of the competition programs, as well as human rights experts of the festival.
From day to day, the filmmakers whose movies were screened at DOCU/RIGHT, DOCU/LIFE, DOCU/SHORT and DOCU/UKRAINE competitions, will talk to the viewers in informal surroundings. These meetings will take place from 10.30 to 11.30 AM, starting from March 26.
At 11.30 AM, an hour of discussion with environmental and human rights activists will take place. We will talk about Ukrainians’ understanding of human rights, about the situation with freedom of speech and expression of views in Crimea, about the work of civic rights activists on the occupied territories and, of course, about the interconnection between environment and human rights. Guests of these events will be announced in detail on Facebook page of RIGHTS NOW! program.
Morning meetings will be taking place on the 3d floor of the Cinema House. The language of the Morning Coffee with directors is English. Morning meetings with human rights activists will be held in ukrainian language.
This year, both DOCU/RIGHT and DOCU/LIFE competitions will include 10 films, DOCU/SHORT – 16 films, and DOCU/UKRAINE – 13. As usually, all the screenings will be held in the Red and Blue halls of Cinema House and in Kinopanorama cinema. The human rights program includes about 30 unique discussions and talks.
