The program DOK Leipzig includes four Ukrainian projects

This year The International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film DOK Leipzig (Germany) includes three documentaries and one animated film created by Ukrainian directors.

 

Two projects describe winter events at Maidan. The first one is the film by the director Sergiy Loznitsa “Maidan”, which after the world premier in the Cannes International Festival was screened in many European countries, and the second one is a film “All Things Ablaze” directed by Oleksandr Techynskiy, Oleksiy Solodunov and Dmytro Stoykov. This documentary film was chosen to participate in the “Young cinema competition”.

 

The international documentary program will include the domestic film “Positive” directed by Polina Kelm.

 

The Ukrainian animated film “Swan” directed by Oleksandr Danilenko will participate in the International animated film program.

 

The International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film will take place from 27 October to 2 November 2014.
