The story tracks the development of the AUTO*MATE initiative, while capturing dialogues with various protagonists. There are manager general of the SKODA car-company, the Mayor of Prague, sociologists, businessmen, biking moms, car freaks… Therefore, AUTO*MATE isn’t a simple, transparent criticism (of the automobile culture). It attempts to reveal the causes in people’s ideas about the purpose and place of Humankind on Earth. AUTO*MATE is the initiative to make the city livable! AUTO*MATE is a cure, but most of all, we have to cure ourselves… To be able to love our "space", we first need to make it a place to live in, not to drive through. Any neighborhood or village needs to become a micro-cosmos shaped by human work, where people work, live, rest, learn, communicate and walk, a place people treat as their common home.
